Moving your Business Forward in 2016 and Beyond - New Year New Strategy!

Join a select group to look at your business strategy - how you want to move your business forward over the next 2-5 years. By the end of the session, you should be able to:

  • Begin to define your future 2-5 year vision and say what you are willing to commit to
  • Undertake a Stakeholder/SWOT analysis to analyse your current position
  • Identify high level strategic goals which will help you to achieve your vision


The learning session will be preceded by a tour of CMS Windows 'state of the art' plant, recycling Centre and Innovation hub and an inspiring description of the CMS journey so far, and how they plan to move forward in the future. 

Includes hub SW Update and networking and Tier 1 Contractors in attendance + buffet lunch.

Skills Workshops


Pitching for Business


Introductory or refresher on business presentations and pitches for up to 4 delegates. Small informal session where delegates get a chance to learn presentation tools and techniques, build confidence, compare notes and practice delivering 2 short presentations.

Sub-Contractor Risk Assessments


The aim of this workshop is to explain the risk assessment process from the principle contractor’s perspective covering:

  • Legal requirements
  • The risk assessment process
  • What principle contractors need and want - the dos and don'ts
  • Simplifying the process - less is more!
  • Communicating the control measures.
  • Evaluating a good and bad risk assessment
  • Producing a risk assessment from scratch in teams
